CV Guide (it's about  readability)


As a medical practitioner, your resume will not follow the guidelines of a mainstream business resume.  Here are the important points:

Make your resume easy to read.  No more than two pages.  Follow this format:

Name and contact information
Education
Professional experience
Licensure
Personal

Education
Show dates of attendance. Put most recent first.

Professional experience
Show dates of employment. Put most recent first. There cannot be any gaps. Time not working needs to be explained. Any resumes with gaps will be returned by clients or staffing agencies for explanation. 

Licensure - list all states where licenced

Personal - don't give inappropriate information.  Statements as to your faith, personal problems, etc. are best left out.
