Environment: Community health.  10 % kids.  Native American patients only.
Days: Mon-Fri, 8-5, 40 hours
Facility: State-of-the-Art, 25,000 square foot government facility, 6 Ops, Hi-Tech digital X-ray, Central Plumbed Nitrous. Staff: 3 Dental Assistants, 2 Hygienists, 1 front office

Procedures
  • Restorative, Endo, Crown & Bridge
  • Diagnostic, toothache (average 2 per day), TMD
  • Dentures , Partials
  • Simple extractions (some surgical if comfortable).
  • 10-15 Patients/daily
  • Staff: 2 Dentists, 3 Dental Assistants, 2 Hygienists, 1 front office

Qualifications
Nitrous certified, 2+ years dentist experience, Experience with children,

Licensure needed for this assignment:
Any state license, DEA certificate, US citizenship

Other: Right or Left-handed Dentist OK – we have top of the line equipment

JOB DESCRIPTION PEDIATRIC DENTIST
Making oral and radiographic examinations of the oral cavity, and a diagnosis of pathological and irregular conditions.
Performs restoration of simple and compound cavities with standard and prescribed materials (cement, amalgam, silicate, etc.), space maintenance, and limited orthodontic treatment.
Full mouth restoration in operating room under general anesthesia for pediatric and handicapped patients.
Administering local anesthesia.
Proficient in appropriate behavior management techniques.
Performing single and relatively uncomplicated multiple extractions of teeth.
Scaling of calculus and curettage.
Treating mouth and gum infections.
Recognizing symptoms of an assortment of systemic diseases and referring cases for medical diagnosis.
Will be involved with HPDP actives and programs aimed at pediatric patient population (e.g., Fluoride varnish program, Head Start, WIC, etc).
Basic computer skills for completing any necessary administration tasks.
Will work with the Electronic Dental Record (EDP) programs; Training will be provided.
The incumbent will participate in committee activities, act as a consultant to Hygiene Outreach programs, attend meetings and perform other administrative duties as required and requested by the Dental Director.

Any license to start. Must apply for WI license immediately after start.
